The love that I have for music is beyond word description. It inspires me at the turn of every corner. I see colors, shapes, movement when I hear music that I love and moves me deeply. It is always a thought. This piece was inspired by the music genre itself and not necessarily a song. I used the Fumage technique (using the soot from a candle wick/flame) in conjunction with acrylic in this piece. The Fumage technique allows for a certain expression of constant movement. It gives it the appearance that music clef & staff are in movement as well as the notes. I wanted to keep the background and colors simple and let the Fumage work on it’s own.
