Artists and art lovers are free to buy, sell, make conversation, chat, critique, ask questions, make recommendations, discuss art and artists, list shows/events, identify favorite artists, art buyers and art enthusiasts; and search for art by artist, rating, price, keyword and tags such as medium, color and texture.
While the flow experience of an artist making a creative breakthrough or receiving deserved recognition for their work is a primary aim of Rtist, we also recognize that the viewer can likewise have optimal experiences by contributing online with his impressions and thoughts regarding the art displayed, connecting with the participating artists, purchasing a treasured work, or even deciding to explore art as a profession.

Jenn Allen, CEO of Rtist, majored in visual arts at the San Francisco School of the Arts, then the only magnet arts high school in Northern California. She subsequently received her bachelor's degree in economics from Mills College in Oakland, California. Jenn has worked in advertising at a cutting edge San Francisco advertising firm as well as in business development at a social search technology startup based in San Francisco and New Zealand. All the while, Jenn has enjoyed art, done art consulting, and had her share of flow experiences creating art for her own pleasure and sale. Rtist is Jenn's longstanding dream to create a place that can unlock some of the joy and satisfaction that everyone is capable of given the opportunity.
