BIOGRAPHY

Hello, my name is Flynn Collier. I live in a fairly small town in Iowa and am a very active person in my community to make it a more exciting place to live. I am the father of two kids that make me smile every moment of every day. My kids and I really enjoy taking boxes of sidewalk chalk, hot dogs, and lemonade to local parks and inviting families to join us in creativity. I made my first wire sculpture in high school as a welding assignment, it was a windmill. I continued creating wire art over the past 15 years mostly for friends. I recently upon advisement of close friends decided to expand my art to the world. Within the first month there was an add in our local newspaper for a gallery at the non-profits center for the MME (Mobilizing Muscatine Excellence). After meeting the team, i joined as a volunteer right away. I am also am a member of the Pearl City Players a local theater group, the Flickinger learning center a local tutor/GED program, the Downtown Action Alliance, the Donight.org group, and am currently looking at the arts council. I firmly believe in working to live instead of living to work. I hope you like my work!
