BIOGRAPHY

Suzanne was born in Prescott, Arizona in the summer of 1972. She moved to the Colorado Rocky Mountains near Nederland when she was just two years old. Raised on her fathers small horse ranch, she had every opportunity to study horses and other wildlife in great detail. The depth of feeling in many of her personally powerful portraits of women express the raw emotion that can only be drawn upon from personal experiences with abuse, loss and conflict. Suzanne has emerged victorious and unabashed from the wounds of her past, but her empathy pours out in her hauntingly beautiful and thought provoking paintings. Perhaps there is a lingering twinge of pain revealed in the mystique of women she depicts. Profoundly inspired by natures beauty at its best, and influenced by life's struggles, Suzanne has the good fortune of a wonderful talent to express herself beautifully in her art. Suzanne and her husband Dan have ten children (some natural and some chosen) between them. Each painting is a thoughtful and artistic expression of her love of animals, life in general and an outpouring of her heart for people. Her style is bold and graphically expressive.
