BIOGRAPHY

Lisa Charlton ~ Pet Portraits ~ Wildlife ~ Art Decor. I am a full-time artist recognized for pet portraiture and works immortalizing the beauty and vulnerability of animals, birds and nature. My art is influenced by environmental surroundings and animal welfare and dedicated to raising awareness about my painting themes. Before I could even speak, read or write, I loved to make messes with paints. At a very early age I dreamt of being an artist when I grew up. Each Halloween, when friends dressed up as ghosts, witches and cute animals, for my costume I’d wear a smock and French beret, carry a painter’s palette and trick or treat dressed up as an artist. Over the years there were times I’ve had to sacrifice my artistic instincts to pay bills but I’ve never lost the passion for my dream come true of becoming an artist full-time.
