BIOGRAPHY

Junjie was born in Manila, Philippines and lived in Canada for 15 years before moving to Arizona. He has been painting ever since he was child and was awarded one of the “Ten Outstanding Ten Year Old Artists” of the Philippines. He studied painting at the Philippine College of Music and Fine Arts. He is the first prize winner at the Spanish Embassy Art competition and won several on-the-spot and themed competitions as well. He has held several one man show and group shows all over the country. He was a resident artist of the Heritage Art Center and an active member of the Art Association of the Philippines. In Canada, he work on and off as a screen printer to support his passion for painting. Had a one man show at Queens Park Gallery in New Westminster, BC and participated in the yearly Art fest in the Shadbolt Center for the Arts. First prize winner at the Garbage Can Art on-the-spot painting contest held in Granville Islands.
