BIOGRAPHY

I have always had an appreciation of beautiful art and relished those times at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Chicago Art Institute, or the Uffizi in Florence standing in awe of masterpieces by Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne or Rembrandt. But it was not until 2008 that I had the urge to learn to paint. I started informal lessons with a friend who is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design who made her home here in Savannah after graduation. Painting has become an insatiable passion and a wonderful outlet from the stress of a very full life of family, work and friends. Although my background is in corporate finance in the health care industry, painting has become a definite passion for me. I am a native of Savannah who loves the coast of Georgia and South Carolina. My paintings reflect this love of the low country and the smell of the marsh; however I continue to experiment not only in mediums (oils and acrylics), but have also experimented with different styles.
