BIOGRAPHY

Hello. My name is Barb. I live in Victoria, B.C. Canada. I am a mom of a very cool daughter who is twenty-seven. I am forty-nine years old. I have arthritis and other physical processes that leave a lot of pain in my body to navigate through. I write a lot about pain. It is a way I have of processing it. Plus, sometimes someone else's voice comes into clear focus and says, "Yes, me too" and there is a sense of understanding and peace in that connection. And, I am an artist - I like to paint. I like the process of painting. I think a lot. I think about spiritual life and about the power of thought and the difference and the similarity of thought and prayer. I think of peacefulness. I think about and practice meditation. I think about the process of life: birth, aging, death and I look for kindness and compassion in all aspects of that. I have lots and lots of positive feelings about the earth. I think more and more people are getting to know each other around the globe and that is creating a situation of more friendships being formed than enemies being made and that creates hope and confidence in me for all of us.
